The artist spreads a prayer rug, larger than the gallery itself, across the space. Constrained by the physical limits of the room, the rug naturally extends, climbs, and wraps around the walls. The directional patterns of the religious carpet lose their original uniformity, rendering the sense of shared orientation disorienting. At the same time, sounds within the space become unusually clear and pure, amplified by the enclosure of the carpeted walls.
