Made from natural red earth, “Hugs” is a “one-time” sculpture in the form of a conjoined two-person seat, inviting visitors to rest on the lawn. Emerging from the ground like a living form, its textured and warm earthen surface evokes the primordial and reconnects the body with the land amid urban life.
