Spring of the Earth
“Spring of the Earth” transforms earth through high-temperature firing into ceramic, evoking a natural force emerging from beneath the ground. Red ceramic forms modeled after Neolithic objects are stacked to create the sculpture, with carved patterns suggesting the relationship between humans and nature. Continuously renewed through the movement of water, the fountain invokes a primordial force beneath the familiar landscape of the contemporary city: the power of the earth.
